Finding a job can be a bit of a journey., especially if you are unsure of where to look. This is very true if you have recently moved to a country and don’t really know many people or no one at all. I have listed a few apps and websites below to help you find your next role, regardless of where you are new or have lived here all your life.

Seek

Seek is undoubtedly the king in the job search market. With millions of jobs all over Australia and indeed overseas, Seek is probably the best place to start your job search. You can visit the job board at https://www.seek.com.au/ or download the app from the app store.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is another platform and definitely bigger than Seek but we are focusing on Australian companies hence why Seek is on top. Anyway, if you are not familiar with LinkedIn, it is more than a job board. Think of Facebook for professional networking but it too has a job board where you can search for jobs and apply. What is more, you can go further and check out the company’s LinkedIn page so you know what sort fo a business they are running which will come in handy as you prepare your application. Like seek, here is their website https://www.linkedin.com or you can download the app.

APS Jobs

Want a job in the public sector, then APSjobs is your answer. APS jobs are great for those wanting a career in the federal government with positions advertised in every state.

One Shift

One Shift is great for those wanting a short term, one-off, casual or part-time work. It is relatively new to the market but is increasingly becoming popular with jobseekers.
