Technology has no doubt changed a lot of things and one of those is how people go about making money and either earning a few hundred dollars a month to supplement their income or completely replacing their jobs with online money-making sources.

Here are 5 ways, everyday people like you and I can create multiple streams of income, and the best part, some these don’t require start up capital so anyone can do them.

Transcription

The first and perhaps the easiest one is transcribing audio files into written or text form. Basically companies will pay you to listen to an audio file ie an interview or a lecture and write down what is being said in the audio file. It is that simple. You will need to sign up with a transcription service provider like gotranscript.com or www.transcribeme.com. To do this well, you will need to have great attention to detail and listening skills, as well as a good internet connection and a quiet place so you can listen an not miss a word.

Print on Demand (Tshirts)

Next on the list is selling your t-shirt designs online through what is called print on demand. This basically means you upload your designs to places like Teespring, Cafepress, or the big boys ie Merch by Amazon. You design and upload and they do the shipping to the customer and the good thing bout this is, you can upload designs for not just t-shirts but also hoodies, pillows, phone cases etc. Simply use Canva or photoshop and upload it to the platform.

Ecommerce aka Dropshipping

Chances are you bought something online either from Amazon or another online store and there is a possibility that it is sold by someone via a method called dropshipping. If you are not familiar with the concept, this is basically where everyday people like you and me, can build an online store either through Shopify or another platform and sell products sourced from Wholesalers China, there is also an increasing number of US/Europe based wholesalers offering dropshipping. The good thing about this is, you are basically connecting shoppers with sellers and that is all you will do, as the seller will ship the items to the buyer. Think of yourself as a middleman/woman and you make a commission on what is sold. This will require some start-up and ongoing marketing, but if done right can be very rewarding.

Selling on eBay

Another way you can sell stuff online is through eBay (see my article on getting started on eBay). Maybe you have things at home you no longer need or use and you want to make a few extra dollars, or you have a store and want to get people to buy your products online or you buy stuff at Garage sales and want to flip. Whatever you want to do, give eBay a go.

Freelance

Have a particular skill ie graphic design or web development or good at writing great content, freelancing is a sure way to make money online. If you are not familiar with the idea, it is basically where companies, startups, and individuals go and pay a professional to carry out tasks for them. Someone like me, a Blog owner can go to platforms such as Fiver, Upwork, or Freelancer and get someone to write this article for me and I will happily for the service. However, it is not only content creators or tech gurus that you will find on a place like Fiverr, it is everything and anything because chances are, you have a skill that someone from a completely different country needs.

There are heaps other ways to make money online now and all you need is a good internet connection, an idea and away you go. Let me know which of these you are thinking of giving a go or are already doing.

Good luck.
